Tester – UAT – Finance / Banking / Payments

We are looking for a Tester to join our Finance Change team. It is for someone who has worked in testing in a finance, payments or banking environment but is looking to join a growing bank which is challenging the market and doing things differently.

This role will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development activities of the Bank and provide assurance that system functionality meets the defined requirements and is compliant with Financial Accounting standards for the Financial Change team. This role will work closely with the IT, Project Management and Finance teams, and will be responsible for the planning, design, generation and running of appropriate test scripts to ensure that all functionality is rigorously tested prior to deployment.

About You:

You will have worked in a UAT testing role and been a part of change or transformational project work. You will have excellent attention to detail and previous demonstrable experience of designing and running testing scripts within a finance, banking or payments environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Liaising with cross-functional teams in providing key support throughout the development process
Assist with business process design, and specification of future requirements
Test planning – including specifying key outcomes
Creating test scripts to cover all key areas of development – incorporating both regression and new functionality
Running test scenarios, and supporting other departments as required

Core Skills & Experience:

Experience of designing and running test scripts in a finance environment
Strong communication skills
Significant previous testing and/or change management experience within a Finance / Banking environment
Previous use of Microsoft Test Manager (desirable) or alternative test management systems
Ability to work to tight deadlines, and offer flexibility in meeting all relevant test windows
Previous Banking or Financial Services experience
