An exciting Big Data platform is looking to hire a Test Automation Lead. The role is a hands-on lead role and will suit someone who is truly keen to put their stamp on the function. You’ll be involved in selecting all tooling and further set up a robust test automation framework for the entire business.
This hire is being made with the objective of setting an Automation Test strategy for the entire business. Which means, this Test Automation Lead will get to carry out an extensive level of automation at an API level.
Just to highlight the volume of data we are dealing with here, with the help of these native mobile apps, the back end receives about 2 million XML messages EVERY DAY!
Being one of the pioneer members of the future QA function, this Test Automation Lead will be working towards automating the end to end testing of this Native mobile app that captures data through SDKs built in-house and also mentor more junior members of the team.
GSM & LTE forms the foundation of these apps; hence you will be constantly working around the Data terminals and high-speed wireless protocols. Hence someone coming from a Telecoms OR Radio background would be of a great match to this role.
To be eligible for this Test Automation Lead role you should have:
- prior experience working in an automated test environment
- an ability to carry out headless testing (or working in a Non GUI environment)
- strong automation skills with Python/Java
- Someone who is confident and process orientated
- A flair to lead and guide a growing business towards Software Quality
- The ability to lead and mentor more junior members of the team
- An understanding of Mobile networks (GSM OR LTE) although this is not essential
