We are looking for an Interface Manager to join our dynamic team to work on our High Speed 2 Enabling works project based near Euston, London.
HS2 Ltd has appointed Costain Skanska Joint Venture (CSjv) as their Enabling Works Contractor. The HS2 Enabling Works Contract covers 26.8 km from Euston in the London Borough of Camden to Ickenham in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It involves preparatory activities which will enable Main Works Contractors to construct tunnels, vents shafts, bridges and other structures along the route of the HS2 railway and also the preparatory works for the two stations on the route. These are expected to take around 3/4 years to complete.
Our project is broken into sectors to streamline the process with ‘Euston’ and ‘Route’.
The role will manage key external relationships to ensure we deliver a world class level of engagement with our stakeholders along the route. This will involve establishing new relationships or building on the existing relationships already in place with our Stakeholders and Commitment Beneficiaries. Working in a particular sector you will be responsible for providing the Interface between the project and the stakeholders and proactively develop productive relationships.
Work closely with the construction teams to maintain a dialogue with our stakeholders and ensure that their needs are considered during the planning and delivery of various projects
Build solid relationships with key Stakeholders and Commitment Beneficiaries to ensure that we are 3able to maintain a time critical and cost sensitive project.
Assist the Programme Interface Manager in the development and implementation of the Interface Management strategy
Liaise with the Project team for the assessment of the impact of design and construction activities (e.g. ground movements) on 3rd Party assets and objectives, including development of instrumentation, monitoring and mitigation measures
Assist the Stakeholder Manager in assuring the satisfaction of physical conditions relating to sites and works 3rd party assets, including ground conditions, locations, construction programme, etc.
Assist the Programme Interface Manager in liaising with other HS2 contractors to prepare a consistent approach to dealing with 3rd Parties or consenting bodies that may be common across the route.
Assist the Programme Interface Manager in regular liaison with HS2, 3rd Parties and other contractors and works packages to ensure sharing of best practices, innovation and continuous improvement.
We’re looking for
A strong understanding of the construction industry.
Experience dealing with high risk programmes with conflicting stakeholder priorities.
Experience in coordinating multiple projects with attention to detail.
Basic understanding of the statutory process for Compulsory Purchase Orders and Compensation Issues.
Basis understanding of 3rd party drivers to assist in relationship building and issue resolution.
